(WBRE/WYOU-TV) Starting Wednesday, June 13 the public can check out “Fifi.” at the Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport. The B-29 Superfortress is one of only two bombers of its kind that still flies. The aircraft is best known for helping end World War II.
Eyewitness News Reporter Eric Deabill will have more the aircraft’s visit to our region.
While airport officials welcomed Fifi to the airport this afternoon, we met “John” who is 93 years old. He was drafted into World War II at the age of 18. He came to see the B-29 up close and even got his picture with it. He was amazed at what good condition the plane is in pic.twitter.com/J1uWX1zxS0— Eric Deabill (@ericdeabill) June 12, 2018
