EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — In the May primary election, voters will decide if the legislature should have a role in disaster declarations.
The Wolf administration warned Thursday that move would be very costly to the state. The Department of Human Services says more than $1 billion in additional SNAP benefits were received from the federal government to help fund lower-income individuals.
They say the help would stop if Pennsylvania ended its disaster declaration.
