SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A busy road in Scranton shut down tonight.
A sinkhole opened up on West Linden Street around 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon. The road was recently paved after underground piping was replaced. PennDOT has closed the road between North Ninth a and St. Frances Cabrini Avenue.
It’s unknown how long a detour will be in place. The hole is about three feet by three feet.
