Police respond to report of shots fired in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Wilkes-Barre City Police are investigating a report of shots fired in a local neighborhood.

Officers confirm 10 shots were fired in the area of Rowland Street and Richard Street Wednesday afternoon. It happened just before 4 p.m.

A neighbor tells Eyewitness News they heard gunfire, followed by screaming and the sound of someone banging on a door.

Shortly after 5 p.m. Wilkes Barre City Police posted a picture of a white sedan they believe was involved in the incident. Police say the shots were fired from the vehicle.

They’re asking anyone with information to contact Wilkes-Barre Police.
