CLARKS SUMMIT, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) — Heavy rain and flooding impacted Lackawanna County as Isaias continued moving northeast Tuesday.
Eyewitness News was outside along Route 11 in Clarks Summit where Tropical Storm Isaias brought some very heavy rainfall earlier this afternoon.
You can see the roads became flooded very quickly as water was running off from several side streets and continued towards the highway interchange. Police were out directing traffic as the water was running along the outer lanes of the roadway. Crews were also out cleaning storm drains of debris to help with the flooding.
Since weather conditions have improved here in Clarks Summit, the water has since retreated and the roadway is back to normal.
