WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) — UPDATED INFORMATION: Police say two people have been arrested after officials were called to reports of shots fired inside a residence.

A heavy police presence was seen at 236 Carey Avenue in Wilkes-Barre Wednesday afternoon just before 3:00 p.m. Police say they made contact with those inside and learned there was a family argument.

During the argument, police allege that Daquan Wright went into his room and retrieved a handgun before pointing the gun at people in the house. He then reportedly fired a round into the ceiling.

Police were able to recover the weapon and arrest Wright, charging him with reckless endangerment and related charges. Vance Dawson was also arrested in the incident for an unrelated warrant.
