POCONO MANOR (WBRE/WYOU) – The crowd cheered in agreement with Eric Trump, hoping Donald Trump is re-elected.
“He’s the first president that thinks about the American people and giving to the American people,” said Carol Freemyer, Lakeville.
The president’s son hosted this “Make American Great” campaign event, hitting a wide range of topics including fracking. It’s a hot topic that directly impacts the commonwealth which relies on the oil and gas industry, and many people want to see fracking stay.
“We need oil in everything. Even, no matter what. Energy is very important. Independence. That’s what America needs,” said Ernest Peterson, Effort.
Trump also talked to us about it in a one-on-one interview.
“We’ve got close to a million people in Pennsylvania you know who are employees, directly or indirectly by the oil and gas industry. That’s a million people whose lives depend on it,” said Eric Trump.
Since Pennsylvania is a battleground state, much is at stake and Trump supporters know it.
“I think it’s going to be tight. Very close election but believe Trump will prevail,” said Beata Malec, Stroudsburg.
There was a long line outside the door before the event even started. Enthusiasm like this that the Trump Campaign hopes will have Pennsylvania vote Republican one more time.
