EXETER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – Crews were still on scene of a structure fire in Luzerne county early Saturday morning.
A little before 10:30 last night, firefighters responded to a house fire in Exeter township. Crews from Luzerne and Wyoming counties helped to put out the fire on Sutton creek road.
A neighbor said his wife called 9-1-1, as he watched the home burn. He did not think anyone lived in the home but was concerned there may have been dogs inside.
“I was laying in bed watching television and I heard four explosions, so I came out to see what it was and I seen this house was on fire here. Started to take a video long before they got here right before the explosions and they arrived afterward so that was the extent of it.” stated a witness Michael Valenteen.
Firefighters were able to get the fire out. No word on any injuries. Sutton Creek road is now back open.
