Astronauts celebrate moon landing anniversary at White House

(WBRE/WYOU) — The president welcomed astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins along with the family of the late Neil Armstrong to the White House on Friday.

This in honor of the Apollo 11 moon landing anniversary. Aldrin and Armstrong landed on the moon 50 years ago, while Collins orbited overhead in the command module.

President Trump called the historic landings one of the greatest achievements of mankind.
