(WBRE/WYOU) — A bear held in captivity for 10 years now has a new start in life.

Dillan, the Asiatic black bear, had severe health issues after being held in a small concrete-floored cage at the Union County Sportsmen’s Club. He was officially relocated Thursday to the wild animal sanctuary in Colorado.

After he recovers he will be released into a naturalistic habitat.
