Police say he ordered a dog to attack officers

UPDATE: Argenis Lopez has been arrested by police. He is facing charges of simple assault, aggravated assault against an officer and related charges. He’s being held in Luzerne County Prison on $250,000 bail.

KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) — Police are searching for a 22-year-old man after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and ordered his pit bull to attack police officers.

Police say they initially responded to the scene after receiving a call about a domestic incident. When officers arrived, they say Argenis Lopez ordered his pit bull to assault police. Lopez later fled and police began searching a Kingston church for him.

Police did not find Lopez in the church. If anyone knows Lopez’s location, you are asked to contact police and do not approach him if you see him.

The girlfriend was injured in the assault, sustaining injuries to the head and face.
