UPDATE: According to the Wayne County Coroner, the death has been ruled a suicide.
HONESDALE, WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) Officials are investigating the death of an inmate at the Wayne County Correctional Facility, according to Wayne County Commissioners.
In a release sent out Monday, commissioners say Jeffrey Birbeck passed away Sunday inside the prison.
The investigation is ongoing and no other information is being released at this time.
