The Wyoming Seminary field hockey team claimed the class "A" state championship on Saturday in a 2-0 win over Newport. Both Kelsey Reznick and Hannah Maxwell scored for the Blue Knights, helping the team earn its seventh state field hockey title in school history.
The Southern Columbia girls and Millville boys soccer teams made history Friday in Hershey, capturing the first class "A" state titles for either school. The lady Tigers defeated Freedom Area 3-2 in overtime thanks to a golden goal from Sami Palacz. It's the first state championship for any Southern girls team in school history. In the boys bracket, Millville beat Avonworth 2-0 thanks to goals from Eli Klinger and Griffin Bower. Both teams are representatives from District-IV.
