PA Live (WBRE) — Maggie Mehall and Tamara Hall are raising money and collecting items for the Saint Joseph’s Baby Pantry, and discuss the upcoming Diaper Need Awareness week.

Diaper Need Awareness Week, running from September 24 to October 2, is to bring awareness to diaper poverty.

Hall explains that “one in every three families struggle in providing an adequate supply of clean, dry diapers.”

“Families spend on average about $80 a month on diapers for diapers for one child,” Hall continued.

Saint Josephs Center is providing access to a Baby pantry, which includes diapers, formula, clothes, and other baby items.

To help raise money for the pantry, a Happy Hour Fundraiser is being held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 29 at Constanino’s in Clarks Summit

Guests are asked to bring diapers or baby wipes, as well as new or gently used baby items like car seats, high chairs, and clothing of all sizes.

Tickets will be for sale via venmo (@StJoesHH) until September 21.
