PA Live (WBRE) — It’s back to school season, and Doctor Timothy Law, Vice President and Executive Medical Director of Clinical Services for Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, comes to PA live! to talk about school safety and COVID.

Dr. Law advises that to wash your hands regularly and stay up to date on vaccinations, whether it be for the flu or COVID.

He also advises that parents and students, if showing symptoms, should stay home if they feel ill and take the proper tests to determine if it is COVID or something else.

For students that are sick, such as a fever, runny nose, or headaches, Dr. Law also advises that they stay home, as he explains that “it’s not good to exercise with a viral infection, whether you have a fever or not.”
