Woman Faces Child Endangerment Charges for Allegedly Pulling a Gun on Children and Youth Employees

A woman is facing child endangerment and terroristic threat charges after reportedly pulling out a gun on representatives from Children and Youth Services.

The standoff situation happened at Kelly Sylvester’s home in Canadensis last week.
According to officials a  social worker was trying to check on an 8-year-old child in her care who they say was not enrolled in school.
That’s when Sylvester allegedly flashed a gun.
According to police she refused to speak with them, so they got an arrest warrant and forcibly entered the home to arrest her.
The child is now in the care of children and youth.
