Wind Whipped Fire Damages Two Homes in Lansford

News

Two homes are destroyed in an early morning fire in Lansford.   Fire fighters believe the fire is suspicious.
 
 Multiple fire departments were called to the homes on the 500 block of East Front Street in Lansford.
  

 When they arrived the place was full of flames
 

     . Both houses were vacant—and no one was injured.
 

     Firefighters had to deal with gusty winds fanning the flames as well as the cold temperatures.
 

    Second Assistant Fire Chief Joe Cannon told Eyewitness News “It was like a scene you would see on TV in California where the wind just taking the embers and just blowing them.  I’m really surprised we didn’t have any additional structure or brush fires.”

    Kimberly Arnold owns one of the destroyed homes.  She tells Eyewitness News was about about to put place up for sale.

   A state police fire marshal is investigating,
