Wilkes-Barre Police Release Surveillance Photo of Armed Robbery Suspects

  The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department has released a surveillance photo of suspects believed to be involved in an armed robbery outside of McCarthy’s Tavern. On January 18, 2014, Wilkes-Barre Police responded to a victim at 349 East Northampton Street who stated he was approached by two males near his vehicle that was parked outside of the tavern on South Sherman Street. A semi-automatic handgun was used in the robbery. The suspects took approximately fifty dollars and the victim’s military identification card, then fled east on foot on East Northampton Street. Surveillance footage from McCarthy’s Tavern shows the suspects in the area at approximately the same time the robbery occurred.
