WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Family and friends of a missing man from Wilkes-Barre are still holding out hope.

Eyewitness News first told you last month about 29-year-old Yiear West, who disappeared on December 9th.

His mother Lisa Patterson said he worked at the Outback Steakhouse in Wilkes-Barre Township, then went to the nearby Wegmans, and finally to Corner News in the city, but the clues stop there.

The family has searched for Yiear, but it’s tough to know where to look.

Meanwhile, his two young children are left wondering when their father is coming home, but no one has any answers.

“When his birthday came February 8th, my whole world crashed,” said Patterson. “Because it’s not just him. He’s a twin! So how can I celebrate a birthday with one when I brought two into this world?”

Detective Charles Casey told Eyewitness News this is an active investigation and he continues to conduct interviews.

Anyone with information about this case should give him a call at the Wilkes-Barre Police Department.
