KELLY TOWNSHIP, UNION COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)  Do you remember your first day at school?  Students in Lewisburg are enjoying their first day at a brand new school!  Eyewitness News Reporter Cody Butler has the story,

  Lewisburg Area Superintendent Mark DiRocoo greeted students with an open door this morning as one by one buses arrived – bringing students to their new high school.
 

“It was wonderful seeing their faces when they came in and just how excited they are about it.”
said High school principal, Paula Reber, who held an assembly – to help students get where they need to go.
 
“Tried to use my locker earlier I had no idea where I was going.” said Senior Rylee Arner .  She is now learning her way around – as if it was the first day of the school year.
 

 
In the meantime administrators will have fun planning fun activities for students this week as they celebrate history in the district…but for this morning..
 
“They’ll be going to their first period class and we’re having school!” said Principal Reber.

Construction on the Lewisburg Area High school-  started in january of 2015 and cost around 36-million dollars to complete.
Their old school was build in the 19-20’s

There will be an Open House of the New Lewisburg Area High School for community members on Saturday, December 10 and Saturday, December 17 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
