(WBRE/WYOU) The best season in Scranton Wilkes-Barre Railriders history comes to a fitting end.
Fresh off winning their 2nd-ever Governor’s Cup, the Railriders had their sights on the Triple-A national championship.
They took on the winners of the Pacific Coast League — the El Paso Chihuahuas — in Memphis on Tuesday.
The final score was three to one, making the Railriders national champions!
The team will be honored with a parade starting in Taylor at 3:30 and finishing at PNC Field in Moosic.
