( WBRE/WYOU-TV) Vice-President Mike Pence campaigned in Luzerne County for Congressional Candidate John Chrin.
Chrin hopes to unseat incumbent Democrat Matt Cartwright in the newly formed 8th Congressional district. The I-Team’s Andy Mehalshick has the story,
It’s not every day that the Vice-President of the United States comes to your community. And that was not lost on many of the folks who gathered in Forty Forty on Wednesday, including Ashley Baum “I think everyone has a viewpoint now in this day and age and that’s fantastic. As long as the young voters get out to vote it is important to maintain that.”
Mr. Pence was here to rally support for Congressional Candidate John Chrin and always in the background of this event was the influence of President Trump.
“Let me bring greetings from a man who loves the state of Pennsylvania and the man the people of Pennsylvania made the 45th president of the United States of America Donald Trump.”
And it is that influence that drives many of the people here to support Chrin and for that matter any Republican candidate.
“To continue more of the current policies that President Trump has implemented,” said Frank Sciabacucchi.
“I think they’re pretty optimistic. I think as long as everyone gets out to vote it’s going to be really good for us” noted Annie Perry.
And above all the biggest concern expressed by many of the people here “We need jobs in this area we need good pay jobs we need help with those things.” Stressed Mike Kravitsky
