BLOOMSBURG, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) Somebody’s trash is someone else’s treasure! You’ll be able to find a lot of that at Bloomsburg University.
The United Way of Columbia and Montour County are holding their annual Trash to Treasure. The State Institution donated their outdated computers, laptops, furniture and more to the cause.
The United Way raised around $10 thousand a year which goes towards agencies within the “Way” in health, education and finical Stability. It’s open to the public and some are getting good deals.
“Reduce, reuse, recycle and that’s pretty much the best thing here. We’re re-using these computers and they go to a great cause,” said Everett Lehr, Junior at Bloomsburg University.
“The money fundraise here today are going to all of those great programs to make our community a stronger and healthier and better place,” said President and CEO of the United Way, Adrienne Mael.
If you’re planning on buying computers the United Way has tickets still available to purchase. They will be adding new computers to their sale each day. The event runs until Saturday Sept. 22.
