(MONROE COUNTY) A changing of the guard taking place at the Tobyhanna Army Depot in Monroe County on Friday
Tobyhanna Army Depot in Coolbaugh Township has a new leader at the helm.
Colonel Nathan Swartz took over the Command from Colonel Gregory Peterson Friday morning during a change of command ceremony.
The Tobyhanna Army Depot is Northeastern Pennsylvania’s largest industrial employer.
During his tenure, Colonel Peterson oversaw extensive modernization of industrial facilities and brought contracts worth millions of dollars to small business vendors.
The depot is responsible for providing soldiers with radars, satellite terminals, sensors, radios and other electronics systems.
