(WBRE/WYOU-TV) Some people delighted in the first snow of the season in the Poconos. For some businesses, it meant the start of a busy snow season. Eyewitness News Reporter Brianna Strunk has the story.
Who needs a snow globe when you live in the Poconos
“I remember a lot of rain, but never snow this early!” said Devesh Ramdeo, Manager of Steele’s Hardware.
Malaina Kim is driving between New Jersey and Syracuse University to pick up her sons. She stopped at Car-Quest Auto Parts in Tannersville after realizing she needs a new wiper blade.
“It’s the first snow of the season! And it’s always so beautiful coming down, but ask me in another month and I might not say the same thing!” she told us.
Down the road the weather compliments this winter display inside Steele’s Hardware.
“We got a winter wonderland right outside our door! Noted Devesh Ramdeo.
Since Wednesday afternoon, business has been chaotic. “We’ve had customers all day buying snow shovels, salt, snow blowers, getting their snow blowers repaired.” Explained Ramdeo
No matter what the forecast brings this is weather we all have to endure.
Chris Capurso an employee at Carquest Auto Parts summed it up this way, “I grew up around here, been living here for almost twenty years now, the snow doesn’t bother me at all. You kind of get used to it at some point”
