Tennis Anyone? New Tennis Center Opens in Williamsport

News

(WBRE/WYOU-TV)       A new sporting facility has made its way into Lycoming County.

A grand opening and ribbon cutting were held at the new Central PA Tennis Center in South Williamsport,  Wednesday afternoon. The center is open to everyone in the community who would like to get in some swings.

It’s also home to the Bucknell men’s and women’s tennis team.

They’ll use the facility for practices and matches.

You can open membership to the courts at a reduced rate but anyone is welcome to try them out for a fee.

“It’s really important to our region you know there’s not another indoor tennis facility for at least 75 miles around so we’re it for tennis, especially in the winter,” Said Karen Hooker, Owner.

The Central PA Tennis Center is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 until 2:00. After 2 o’clock special events are held.
