Tamaqua High School forfeits football game due to “situation” at the school

TAMAQUA, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Tamaqua Area High School is forfeiting its football game they say is due to a “situation” within the high school.

According to a statement sent by the athletic director Mike Hromyak, the Tamaqua Area High School is forfeiting its District XI 3A football game against North Schuylkill.

Hromyak says the game was scheduled for Saturday, November 6th. 

No further information was provided at this time. Tamaqua Area High School did not clarify what the incident was.
