NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK (WBRE/WYOU) – Green Party presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein said Monday she will ask the federal courts to order a recount of the November general election results in Pennsylvania, even as recounts are underway in Wisconsin and Michigan.

Speaking outside of Trump Tower in New York City Monday morning, Stein blasted the Keystone state’s recount process which she said makes it nearly impossible to verify the accuracy of the election results through a recount of the ballots cast.

“We will not give in to intimidation,” said Stein.

“In Pennsylvania, unfortunately, the court system and the election system is politically entrenched and has been fighting this process in every step. The Trump campaign has called now to call for 27,000 affidavits. In 9,000 precincts. This is an absolutely ridiculous and bureaucratic roadblock. The court date was being advanced to a time it was being possible to provide the evidence. It’s clear that the fix was in against a verified vote in the state of PA.”

“So we are now moving to federal court to ask they please support and standup in the democratic process. We are here to assure Donald Trump that there is nothing to be afraid of, if you believe in democracy, and you should stop your bureaucratic obstruction and intimidation and joining the people of America who are calling for elections we can trust. “
