Staying positive in the Poconos after second snowstorm

MOUNT POCONO, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — People in the Poconos can’t seem to catch a break from Mother Nature.

Communities that are still recovering from last week’s storm got walloped again Wednesday.

Thousands remain in the dark, and many of them have been without power since Friday.

Eyewitness News talked to people in Mount Pocono who are just grateful to have electricity, and they’re trying to stay positive as they dig out for the second time.

“Last week I had a sore back for at least two or three days after shoveling all that, so I started the Tylenol early for this one!” said Larry Troutman.

They said this winter blast wasn’t nearly as bad as Friday’s powerful Nor’easter that pummeled the Poconos.

Neighbors out there have been helping one another however they can.
