SUGARLOAF TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) Crews are ramping up efforts to find a Luzerne County man who went missing a month ago.
59-year-old Bill Morse from Sugarloaf Township has not been seen since June 11th..
Lead I-Team Reporter Andy Mehalshick is in Sugarloaf Township with this Exclusive story where police are searching a wooded area near his home.
That search ended a short time ago. Andy was told by police that Morse was not found on this property.
Eyewitness News is on Hollow Road. Morse lived nearby State and local police arrived here at the scene at 6 am to begin searching..
Two tracking dogs and their handlers went into the woods trying to find any sign of Morse.
This is the last place morse was seen on the night of June 11th.
Investigators say Morse had spent the day in Jim Thorpe and later that night vanished. We do know that several weeks after he disappeared his coat was found by a family member on Hollow Road very close to his home.
Andy spoke to a Morse family member who did not want to appear in camera. She doesn’t’ believe that foul play was involved. That same family member says Morse is dealing with some psychological issues and is concerned about his safety. She wants to know where he is.
Eyewitness News also spoke to the Sugarloaf Township Police Chief Josh Winters about why they are conducting this search he says nothing has been ruled out.
