Spring Soaker and Snow

News

A strong storm system moving up the coast is going to bring a good soaking rain our way through the rest of today.  We’ll start off with some scattered showers through the rest of this morning, but then the rain will get steadier and even heavier at times through this afternoon and into tonight.

Flood watches have been issued for Schuylkill County and all of Southeastern PA through tonight.

As the storm system pulls away, colder air will move back into place.  Any rain that is left over will change into snow, especially in higher elevations, late tonight and into tomorrow morning.  From there scattered rain and snow showers will continue through the day on Friday.  Most of the accumulation will be in the higher elevations where 2-4″ can be expected for the most part.  Little if any accumulation will occur in the valleys.  Some spots in the far northern tier could end up with a little more depending on when we see that changeover.
