SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – Final preparations are underway for a religious pilgramage that attracts tens of thousands of the faithful each year to Lackawanna county.
The 93rd Saint Ann’s Novena begins Monday at the Basilica on Scranton’s west side.
Saint Ann is the grandmother of Jesus and the patron saint of mothers and relationship.
The theme of this year’s Novena is the “ingenuity of God’s Love”.
The solemn Novena will conclude July 26th on what’s considered Saint Ann’s feast day at the Basilica in Scranton.
