Skirmish paintball recreates the Normandy Invasion

ALBRIGHTSVILLE, CARBON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – More than five thousand people armed with paintball guns headed to Carbon County to recreate an epic world war two military operations.

Skirmish paintball in Albrightsville hosts the invasion of Normandy.

Organizers say the initial assault is the largest paintball battle in the world with more than one million shots fired in the first half hour of the game.

The three day event includes the largest paintball trade show in the industry and attracts people from all over the world.

The battle ends today with an award ceremony and raffle in which players can win paintball guns and gear in Carbon County.
