Sears Files for Bankruptcy; Closing PA Stores

(WBRE/WYOU-TV) Sears Holdings, the parent company of Sears and Kmart, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy this morning.
Sears has reached a deal with its creditors to keep most of its operations running for now.
But it will close 142 money-losing stores by the end of the year, with liquidation sales expected to begin soon.
That’s on top of the 46 stores closing by next month.
The company has about 700 Sears and Kmart stores, and roughly 70-thousand employees
