Sean Hannon Receives His Sentence

(WBRE/WYOU-TV) A Lackawanna County man received his sentence today for what Wayne County District Attorney Patrick L. Robinson described as a 'wild episode involving his children.'

Sean Hannon, 49-years old from Dunmore, was sentenced to serve 7 to 15 years for a variety of charges stemming from an incident in which he allowed his 11-year old daughter to drive from Covington Township in Lackawanna County to Salem Township in Wayne County with his 8-year old son in the car because he was intoxicated.

Hannon BAC was .228% at the time when he directed his daughter's driving, which was described as erratic as she swerved across the road, ran a stop sign and forced an oncoming vehicle into a ditch before finally running up under a tree.

Hannon was convicted on all charges consisting of 2 counts of Endangering the Welfare of Children, 2 counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Driving while DUI Suspended and Permitting an Unauthorized Person to Drive.

Eyewitness News will have more on this story at 6pm.
