Scranton's 2018 budget released

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)- The 2018 budget for the city of Scranton is released, and it does not include a property tax increase.

City council is expected to introduce the spending plan at its meeting Thursday night. The budget keeps a controversial garbage fee at $300 a year. It includes extra funding for extra positions in the city solicitor and public works departments.

The budget also includes money for some interior renovations city hall.
