Scranton shooting suspect arrested


SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – Police have arrested a person of interest in connection with Thursday’s downtown shooting.

Scranton police tell eyewitness news they took 32-year-old Zodi Oprisko of Scranton into custody tonight after a traffic stop.

They also say they recovered a gun believed used in the shooting and that Oprisko is wanted for several other crimes.

The victim, 20-year-old Len Floyd of Scranton, was shot in the face while sitting in the passenger seat of a car.

It happened near Mifflin Avenue and Mulberry Street.

Floyd remains in the hospital in critical condition.

Police have not released a possible motive for the shooting in the electric city.
