Scranton FNCB Bank Robbery

News

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) A manhunt is underway in Lackawanna County after a bank is held up this morning.

Police are searching for the man who held up the FNCB bank on North Keyser Avenue in Scranton around 10 A.M.
No word on whether he got away with any cash.
Police are searching the area for the suspect.

The robber is described as a white man, who is approximately 35 to 40 years old.
He is about six feet tall and had broad shoulders, a mustache and facial hair.

Investigators say he was wearing an olive green knit cap and sunglasses when he walked into the bank.
He went up to a teller demanding money. He told her he had a gun but at this point investigators have not said if one was shown.
No one was hurt during the holdup.
As soon as the call came in, police converged on this area. While some investigators dusted for fingerprints, others were checking nearby businesses for surveillance cameras.
This is a very busy area  right across the street from the Keyser Ok shopping center, so they’re hoping that someone may have seen this robber trying to flee the scene on foot or in a vehicle.

If you have information you are asked to contact Scranton Police.
