Republican Congressman Tom Marino Announces Resignation


(WBRE/WYOU) — Tom Marino, a Republican Congressman, and newly elected representative of the 12th District of Pennsylvania, has announced his resignation from the U.S. House of Representatives Thursday in order to pursue an opportunity in the private sector. Back in November he was elected for his fifth term. 

According to a statement released by the congressman, ‘Having spent over two decades serving the public, I have chosen to take a position in the private sector where I can use both my legal and business experience to create jobs around the nation.’ 

Marino’s last day in office will be January 23rd.
