Prison guard facing charges in Northumberland County

COAL TOWNSHIP, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – A female corrections officer is in trouble with the law. State Police say Holly Olvany is facing several charges.

Troopers say a drug dog got a hit inside the Northumberland County Prison in Coal Township. They traced it to Olvany who told them the liquid they found was for a urine test.

They say they later got a second hit near ner car. Troopers say Olvany then jumped in her car and took off, nearly hitting an officer.

Investigators say they are now waiting for drug testing results.
