Police Shooting Protests in North Carolina Close I-85


CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA (WBRE/WYOU) A chaotic scene erupts in North Charlotte Tuesday night after an African-American  man was shot and killed in an officer-involved shooting.
  Video from busy Interstate 85  shows protesters shutting down the interstate and starting fires on the roadway.

  The crowd was eventually dispersed but not before a handful of officers were injured in confrontations with demonstrators.

 The crowd is upset, saying that a charlotte police officer shot and killed an unarmed man.

  Charlotte police say he was armed


In Tulsa, Oklahoma Protests also  Tuesday evening.

 They demonstrated against the police shooting of unarmed black man Terence Clutcher.

 On Monday, police released video of 40-year-old Clutcher being shot by a Tulsa police officer after the officer spotted Clutcher’s vehicle in the middle of the road.

 The demonstrators want authorities to arrest the officer.
