Police Searching for Suspect in Drive By Shooting in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – One man is injured and Wilkes-Barre police are searching for the person who shot him.

Eyewitness News was there as investigators laid down evidence markers at the scene of the drive-by shooting in Wilkes-Barre.

 A 28-year-old man was hit by gunfire along Bowman Street around 5:30 last night.

He was taken to the hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Wilkes-Barre police focused part of their investigation on a silver Honda Civic that had damage on its driver’s side.

The chief tells eyewitness news he doesn’t believe the shooting was random.
