Eyewitness News Reporter Lauren Hensley spoke with neighbors who awoke to the gunfire.

“Out of no where I heard, eight shots pop, pop, pop! ” That is how Chris Heylek describes a quiet night on East Main Street in Plymouth– suddenly interrupted by gunfire.
Heylek jumped out of bed early Thursday morning to see what has happened.
The discovery…. gruesome…. a man with a gunshot wound fighting for his life.
“Like something out of a movie. Seeing a guy in the middle, a bunch of people looking around, screaming. It was pretty crazy it was literally like something out of a movie” said Heylek.
State Police say the shooting happened around 2-30 in the morning just outside of “Robby Nick’s Bar.”
The man was rushed to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Neighbors say this isn’t the first time a fatal shooting happened outside of this bar.
“Two years ago I was looking out my window and I saw this gun, I saw him get shot,” said Don Shymanski.

And with this most recent shooting— it has left many in this community to wonder what is leading to the violence in this small town
“What do i think of it?  It’s, I don’t know what to think of it. It’s Plymouth. It is what it is” said Wally Lubinski.
“I don’t know what has been going on lately with this town.  My dad lived here his entire life too. And it’s nothing like it used to be.  ” noted Heylek,
