Police nab man on burglary charges after allegedly stealing golf cart

KIDDER TOWNSHIP, CARBON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police nabbed a man on burglary charges after he allegedly stole a golf cart and other items from a resort property.

Timothy Mead, 25, of Moscow and Daniel Mead, 31, of White Haven, were taken into custody Monday for warrants from Monroe County after police say they were called on them for trespassing on a property on SR 940 near White Haven. 

While in custody, police questioned Timothy Mead about a burglary that took place on Crest Drive in Split Rock Resort in Kidder Township on May 24th. During that robbery, various electronics, DVDs, clothes and a Club Car Golf Cart were taken. That golf cart was later recovered near Exit 95 of the PA Turnpike.

Timothy Mead has been charged with 2 Counts of each: Burglary Felony 2, Criminal Trespass Felony 2, Theft by Unlawful Taking Felony 3, Receiving Stolen Property and Criminal Mischief.

Both men were taken to the Carbon County Correctional Facility on the bench warrants from Monroe County.
