Police investigate body found on grounds of Camelback Resort

TANNERSVILLE, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The body of 29-year-old Saul Salcedo of the Bronx was found around 7 a.m. Friday on the grounds of Camelback Lodge in Tannersville. The Monroe County Coroner says Salcedo died after accidentally falling from the balcony of the sixth floor where he was staying. An autopsy has been scheduled.


TANNERSVILLE, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – Authorities are investigating the discovery of the body of an adult male on the grounds of Camelback Resort in Monroe County Friday morning.

A spokesperson for the lodge tells Eyewitness News the body was found about seven o’clock Friday morning, and confirmed the man had been staying in a sixth floor room with an outdoor balcony.

Pocono Township Police and the Monroe County Coroner’s office are, at this point, saying only that they are working a “death investigation”.

In a statement, the resort notes “The safety, security, comfort and privacy of guests, staff and visitors are of paramount importance to Camelback Resort. Resort management and staff are cooperating fully with authorities as they conduct an investigation into an on-property incident that occurred on June 15, 2018.”

The identity has not yet been released.
