Plymouth, Luzerne County- Plymouth Township Fire rescue opened its doors to families at an open house on Sunday.
The goal was to teach youngsters and parents about safety in homes and on the roads.
Firefighters gave out free smoke detectors and did demonstrations.
They also say it gave youngsters the chance to meet first responders, so they won’t be afraid of them.
Organizers hope this event will help save a life some day.
