DANVILLE, MONTOUR COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – Raising a glass to support a good cause.
Children fight for their lives at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville every day. The Children’s Miracle Network helps make those battles a little easier.
“Some of the things we’ve been able to fund include child life services, which is really great to have in the hospital when kids are trying to understand their diagnosis or procedure coming up. They make it a little bit more kid friendly and understanding for them,” Development Specialist Kristen Kowaleski.
To raise money for the medical equipment used to save children’s lives, Children’s Miracle Network is holding their fourth annual Pints for Peds at Old Forge Brewing Company in Danville.
“All the events that we do whether it’s hosted by us or community fundraisers throughout the community go to support all of the services we offer to make them healthier,” Kowaleski explained.
There is something for everyone at the annual event.
“This year we’re going to be having live acoustic music, which we’re really excited to have. We’re going to have a three course buffet featuring all the good favorite foods here down at Old Forge, handcrafted beer, which is really nice to have here too. It’s a lot of favorites for the locals,” Kowaleski said.
The Pints for Peds event will be Sunday, January 27th starting at 5pm. To get tickets, click here.
