COOLBAUGH TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) For the 7th year a man is biking to raise money for local animal shelters.
Rich Hayes began his three day., nearly 200 mile journey this morning in Bethlehem.
Hayes has raised more than 30-thousand dollars over the years through sponsorships and donations.
In the past he raised money for the Griffin Pond animal shelter in Lackawanna County, but this year he has added three more shelters in Wayne, Monroe and Luzerne county.
We caught up with him riding along route 611 in Coolbaugh Township.
