Peachy Clean

The Peach Festival is underway on Montage Mountain in Scranton, but will they leave same mess a previous festival group left behind earlier this summer?

15,000 people per day are expected to walk through the gates to get a glimpse of about 40 musical acts during the 4 day festival, but since a similar festival last month, Camp Bisco, left a mess on the mountain and surrounding water park, concerns are already mounting about clean up after this weekends affair. Live Nation, who runs it, says there should be no problems.

Paul Shaw, Live Nation Marketing Manager, says “we try to promote being as green as possible, you know, supplying everybody with the garbage bags that they need and it was also included in our mobile app for download.  It’s responsible being green and cleaning up after yourself and stuff like that.”

A member of the security team tells eyewitness news that it took them 11 days to clean up after Camp Bisco, so they hope it won’t be that bad this time around.

The acts wrap up around 10PM Sunday.
