PA Young Farmers’ Association convention


KELLY TOWNSHIP, UNION COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) Agriculture is the backbone of our country. From farmers to ranchers it has help feed families for generations. 

The Pennsylvania Young Farmers Association is trying to make sure that continues. The organization held their annual convention new Lewisburg Wednesday night. The association brings farmers of all generations together throughout the year that committ to education of production, marketing, food and agriculture as a whole. 

The secretary of agriculture attened the conference. Secretary Russell Redding talked about the challenges facing the indutry, including dairy. 

In Governor Tom Wolf’s budget proposal on Tuesday he plans to set aside money for the department. Wolf plans to release more details on his agriculture part in the budget, next week.
